Week 6:
Baltimore vs. Rochester
- Result: 1-0 (Baltimore)
- Thoughts: Baltimore went on the road and blanked the opposition for the third straight match. Randi Patterson knocked in the games only goal in the 55th minute. Impressive road victory for Crystal Palace after their rough start; the club is now back in the mix with the rest of the NASL conference.
Austin vs. Tampa Bay
- Result: 3-3
- Thoughts: For the second time this month Tampa Bay had a late equalizer to earn a point against the Aztex. The two teams combined for 10 goals over the two matches and are bringing out record crowds. After the huge home opener in Tampa Bay, Austin set its attendance record on Wednesday with over 6,000.
Montreal vs. Portland
- Result: 1-0 (Montreal)
- Thoughts: At the end of last month Portland looked like a runaway leader this season. This month has seen three matches and only 1 point. The victory marked Montreal's first victory in Portland since 2006.
Baltimore vs. Portland
- Result: 2-1 (Baltimore)
- Thoughts: Two teams going in opposite directions. A few weeks ago 10 points separated the two clubs, now there is only a one point difference and Baltimore is two points back of the conference lead.
Miami vs. Minnesota
- Result: 1-0 (Miami)
- Thoughts: It only took 6 matches and a game against one of the league's weakest teams right now to help Miami earn its first victory of the season. More impressive is the fact that the club is undefeated so far. Now lets see if they can hold Austin back on Wednesday.
Tampa Bay vs. AC St. Louis
- Result: 3-0 (Tampa Bay)
- Thoughts: Tampa Bay went up a goal, then up by two men and then tacked on two more goals to close out a solid game. Five matches so far in the month of May and nine points have turned Tampa Bay into a serious contender. On the upside for St. Louis the attendance rose for their second home match to 3400.
Vancouver vs. Rochester
- Result: 2-0 (Vancouver)
- Thoughts: Vancouver brought out nearly 5,000 Saturday night as they earned their 3rd victory of the year and out-shot Rochester 11 to 6 on the night. The two sides are only one point apart and are scheduled to meet again next weekend in Rochester.
