USSF D2 Table Update

Week 4:
NSC Minnesota vs. Rochester
 - Result: 3-0 (Rochester)
 - Full Match ReportsMinnesota and Rochester
 - Thoughts: Two goals in the first 30 minutes helped Rochester to their second straight win. This was a good  three points to pickup for Rochester as these two battle in the middle of the USL conference. A bad home performance for Minnesota which struggled to bring in fans for the mid-week match. Only 627 supports showed up, the lowest total for a USSF D2 match this season.

Portland vs. Vancouver
 - Result: 2-1 (Portland)
 - Full Match ReportsPortland and Vancouver
 - Thoughts: Vancouver suffered their first loss of the season in a match-up of two early season favorites to take the title. Ryan Pore led the assault again for the Timbers knocking in two and taking his season tally up to six. Vancouver looked likely to pick up a very difficult road point until Pore ended the match with his second strike in the 86th minute.

Montreal vs. Puerto Rico
 - Result: 1-0 (Montreal)
 - Full Match ReportsMontreal
 - Thoughts: Montreal secured their first victory of the season at the hand of the Islanders, who had a to travel a long way for their first defeat of the 2010 campaign. A packed crowd of over 11,000 watched as Filipe Soares scored only the second goal of the year for the Impact. The Impact were coming off a mid-week loss to Toronto FC in the Canadian Championship.

Carolina vs. Rochester
 - Result: 1-1
 - Full Match ReportsCarolina and Rochester
 - Thoughts: The Rhinos opened the home season in front of a crowd of over 7,000 strong. Building off the mid-week win against Minnesota Rochester struck first in the 9th minute. Carolina was awarded a penalty in the 54th minute and new striker Etienne Barbara converted for the Railhawks to level the score. Carolina still seem to be lacking the firepower they had last season which pushed them to the top of the table early on last year.

FC Tampa Bay vs. Miami
 - Result: 1-1
 - Full Match ReportsTampa Bay and Miami
 - Thoughts: Each team got their second goals of the season and for Miami they are still winless after three. The fan support was disappointing in South Beach as they were only able to draw 1500 fans. However, the South Florida rivalry has been renewed and hopefully the battle for the Coastal Cup will being to draw fans in.

Austin vs. Minnesota
 - Result: 2-1 (Austin)
 - Full Match ReportsAustin and Minnesota
 - Thoughts: Minnesota's second home game in a week turned out to be another disappointing outing for the new franchise. Outscored 5-1 in their two matches, Minnesota gave up two goals in the final 15 minutes. Adding insult to injury was the attendance, low again for the second straight game - 753. Austin however returned to their hot start - now three wins in their first four matches - and travel to Tampa Bay next.

AC St. Louis vs. Baltimore
 - Result: 1-0 (St. Louis)
 - Full Match ReportsAC St Louis and Baltimore
 - Thoughts: The St Louis franchise recorded their first ever victory following a goal in the 1st minute by Manuel Kante. A rather defensive battle as the teams only combined for a total of 10 shots on goal the entire match. The result now leaves Baltimore as the only winless team in the league.
