The knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League are officially here and the first four match-ups are in the books. Here is a quick look at the results from Tuesday and today, as well as a look ahead to the second leg of these draws.
AC Milan (ITA) vs. Manchester United (ENG)
- Result: 3-2 (ManU)
- Thoughts: After a quick goal by Milan in the third minuted, ManU rolled off three straight points - two by Rooney. Ronaldinho and Seedorf connected at the end of the match to bring the Italian squad back within one. With three away goals and being at home in second leg, it will be a big surprise to see the Red Devils fall out.
- Next Match: March 10th @ Manchester
Lyon (FRA) vs. Real Madrid (SPA)
- Result: 1-0 (Lyon)
- Thoughts: A rather lackluster game in which the nine time champions Madrid could not find the back of the net. The pressure will be on Real to advance since the final will be held at their home stadium. Lyon are in a good spot with a lead and no away goals to contend with.

Porto (POR) vs. Arsenal (ENG)
- Result: 2-1 (Porto)
- Thoughts: This scoreline does almost no justice to the real story here. Arsenal gifted two goals to Porto (seriously, check the video highlights). Additionally, the gunners were playing without five of their key starters including Arshavin and Almunia, who will be back for the second leg. Finally, with the away goal Arsenal is in a good position to overcome the deficit in March.

Bayern Munich (GER) vs. Fiorentina (ITA)
- Result: 2-1 (Bayern)
- Thoughts: Fiorentina came in on a hot European run, despite the sub-par domestic campaign. Bayern took advantage of a late penalty awarded at the end of the first half and then a suspect second goal, which looked clearly offsides. However, with the away goal Fiorentina can still easily advance with a 1-0 win at home in March.
