Table Update as of 9/8

It was a relatively quite weekend in league action with the World Cup qualifiers going on between this past Saturday and tomorrow. However, the MLS & USL were still in action and I've included their updates below:

MLS:
  • Past week's results - Only 3 games this week, but 11 goals overall. Colorado pulled over an important win heading down the stretch and Kansas City upset New England on the road 4-2.
  • MLS Current Table - DC United moved into 3rd in the east over New England via goal differential. Colorado jumped over Seattle and Real Salt Lake to grab the 3rd spot in the west. 4 teams sit tied at 33 points for the final 2 playoff spots.
USL:
  • Past week's results - The Portland Timbers 24 match undefeated streak finally came to an end against the Rochester Rhinos. Carolina lost on the road to Montreal and Charleston lost at home to Minnesota.
  • USL Current Table - Portland is 6 points ahead of Carolina at the top of the table and need only 4 points in their last 3 games to clinch the title. 2nd & 3rd place Carolina and Puerto Rico play twice this upcoming week (including tonight).
  • For any Carolina Railhawks fans out there, you can catch the game tonight live at USLLive - 8pm EDT. The site is free and has streaming video of all USL games.
